We feel that way. Beth's cyst was benign and she kept one ovary.
Benign, benign, benign. The most wonderful word in the world.
I saw Beth Christmas. She had a little bulge on her stomach. I was shocked when I got here and saw her. I have seen full term pregnancies not that big.
thursday morning they preped her for surgery and brought in one more paper for her to sign. A form giving permission for them to put in a tube for chemotherapy if needed. It was getting scarier and scarier.
Her boy friend Steve and I waited. After about two hours I saw her doctor Dr. Rodriquez come into the room and I knew it was okay because that was not long enough for them to do all that extra work if it were malignant.
We went into a little room and she told me that everthing went well. The cyst was benign. They biopsed the other ovary and it too was benign so it was saved.
She also said that the cyst weighed...........10 and a half pounds.
I was so happy. Back in the waiting room I wanted everyone else there to get news as good as mine.
This is Saturday night. She is doing good and will come home tomorrow.

I don't understand game theory. One of its application is in studying people in lines. I enjoy observing that.
Today I washed my car.
On Tuesdays at the Shell station here in Henderson, you get half off at the automatic car wash with a fill-up. After filling up, you enter that you want a car wash, it is added to the bill and you get a 5 digit code to enter at the car wash.
That code is good for two weeks so you don't have to get your car washed on that Tuesday, but about two weeks ago I didn't have time to get my car washed immediately and then I lost the ticket.
So today I was going to be sure to get it washed immediately.
A lot of people get their cars washed on Tuesday so there is sometimes a line. After I got my gas, I pulled over into the line. Four cars were ahead of me. I decided that was too many so I went on and visited Mother.
When I got back, the line was three cars. I pulled into the line.
I noticed that people would pull over close, see the line, and leave. One woman briefly got into the fifth place but thought better and left.
No one got into fifth place and stayed.
After the line moved up, people would join it. When I left the line was four cars long.
I concluded that people were willing to wait for three cars but not for four.
We are lemmings; we all do the same thing.

Review of Super Bowl (or is it Superbowl?)
I think the pre-superbowl show started last week but I only started watching about an hour beforehand.
I was puzzled by the pre-game show. It was supposed to be presented by Cirque du Soleil. I have never seen one of their shows but I have wanted to because they are supposed to be amazing. This show in Miami was not amazing. I did not understand the point of it. Maybe it was modern art. Gloria Esteban introduced it but I don't know the why of that either.
Billy Joel did a good job of the national anthem. Thank goodness he sang it in the tune it was written.
When the game started and Chicago ran that kickoff back, it reminded me of the college national championship game where Ohio State did the same thing and went on to lose. The superbowl was the same. It was deja vu.
The best part of the game was the rain. I was so glad it rained and I love when the camera got wet. I think these overpaid athletes should always have to play in the cold, sleet, snow, rain, and mud. In Miami I have to settle for just rain.
I think I watched the halftime show. I am not a fan of these. I remember one year James and Julia were here and I called June. Harry said that the front of Janet Jackson's dress had fallen off. I was too smart to fall for that. I knew that it was one of Harry's jokes. Julia, James, and I discussed it and they agreed with me.
So Indianapolis won and both HSN and QVC were selling Colts shirts with champion on it.
